We get it. Tea can sometimes be a mystery. Our blends

Ti Ora offers a range of blends, based on green and black tea, herbs, fruits, spices and botanicals. Explore our website to find out more about the blends we make.

Our teas are NZ in spirit and NZ in taste. That's why each of the Ti Ora blends contains an ingredient from New Zealand. All of the other ingredients are sourced globally, pending on availability and quality.

The large-cut ingredients allow you to see the diversity of ingredients there are in a tea blend. If you infuse the tea bags in boiled water, you can see each of them expanding. This makes our teas not only nice for your taste buds but also a delight for your eyes.

Create a delicious cup of Ti Ora by heating 250ml of fresh cold water to 100°C. Then brew the tea bag for 3-5 minutes depending on the taste strength you prefer and enjoy your cup of Ti Ora!

With Ti Ora's green teas, fruit and herbal infusions you can also prepare a delicious refreshing cold drink.

Just brew the tea bag in boiled water for a longer 5-6 minutes. Cool it down in the fridge for at least 20 minutes, add ice cubes and enjoy it right after chilling.

Green tea and black tea come from the same plant, the camelia sinensis. Green tea differs from black tea due to the difference in processing.

Black tea is made by a natural fermentation process, that changes the colour from green to gold brown-black.
Green tea, unlike black tea, does not undergo a fermentation step during the process. The freshly picked leaves are withered, with the tea leaves being spread out in the factory on grids where the leaves lose moisture. Then the withered leaves are steamed, or smoked, to prevent fermentation. This keeps the tea its green colour and tastes differently, sharper.

OUR TEA BAGS

Yes, they are biodegradable. We like to keep things true to nature, so we use biodegradable PLA teabags (Poly Lactic Acid), made from corn starch, which is a renewable, environmentally friendly resource.

PLA is biodegradable and breaks down quickest in industrial organic food waste composting facilities. We recommend to dispose of them with your food waste since local communities often compost this in industrial plants. Please check your local community’s food waste system, if this is the case where you live.

They ensure there is lots of space for the ingredients to infuse and expand in hot water, which makes the teas not only nice for your taste buds but also a delight for your eyes.
